Buying a used radio for a business starts with the fleet you need to match. Confirm the exact model, band, protocol and kit before comparing a body-only offer with a complete set.

Check the fleet match first

Record the model label and suffix of a radio already in service. Confirm its band and sub-band, analogue or digital mode, signalling or digital protocol, and the channel plan. A familiar brand or connector does not make a VHF radio a match for a UHF fleet, or an analogue radio a match for a DMR, dPMR or NXDN system.

Compare familiar used-radio models

For a screen-free PMR446 option, consider the used Motorola XT420 and confirm exact channel settings.

Compare the complete kit

  • Radio body and exact model/suffix
  • Battery part and stated condition
  • Charger, power supply and plug arrangement
  • Antenna, belt clip and any speaker microphone or earpiece
  • Quantity and whether each line is body-only or complete kit

A charger being available does not mean it is included. A new-looking photograph does not establish battery health, programming or stock condition.

Request a business quotation

Send the required quantity, model, condition, kit and destination. Ask for the VAT treatment to be stated in your quotation. Payment is by BACS after a written quotation; there is no online checkout for these used offers. Warranty terms will be confirmed in your written quotation. International enquiries are assessed individually because permitted equipment, batteries and delivery terms vary.

Use the used-radio hub, Motorola, Hytera, Icom, Kenwood, Entel selection guides to narrow the enquiry. Read condition guidance, fleet compatibility, battery and kit cost, buying by quote and selling a fleet before sending details. Licensing remains separate: see the UK licensing guide and the PMR446 guide.
