Kenwood’s UK TK-3401DT combines analogue PMR446 and digital dPMR446 modes in one screen-free handset. It can support a gradual move within a compatible PMR446 fleet when the channels and modes are aligned.
Choose the exact version
Its digital mode is dPMR446, not DMR. Kenwood describes eight analogue frequencies plus sixteen digital frequencies across thirty-two programmed positions; the channel position count is not a count of unique analogue frequencies.
Fleet compatibility
Analogue mode can communicate only with appropriately matched analogue PMR446 settings. Digital operation requires compatible dPMR446 mode and configuration. UK licence-exempt conditions apply to compliant equipment; digital licence-exempt use outside the UK needs destination-specific review.
Battery, charging and accessories
Manufacturer documentation lists KNB-45L and KSC-35S as new-package items. The written quotation will itemise the actual battery, charger, mains plug and carry accessories.

Compliant PMR446 use in the UK does not need an individual Ofcom licence.
