The POA61-Ex is a throat-vibration microphone and single-earpiece upper section with a QR4 connection. It connects to the documented compatible lower PTT or remote speaker microphone unit; it does not plug directly into the radio as a complete standalone headset.

Build the complete connection chain

The documented lower units are POA63P-Ex large PTT and SM24N2P-Ex remote speaker microphone with PTT. These are separate components. The QR4 upper section connects to the selected lower unit, which then connects to the appropriate radio. Match the exact part suffixes, connector and approval of every component.

Understand the upper-section role

The throat microphone picks up speech through throat vibration, while the single earpiece provides received audio. The upper section has no integrated PTT key or emergency button. It is not a noise-cancelling ear-defender headset and no hearing-protection attenuation rating is claimed for it.

Select the approved radio assembly

Hytera's current HP Ex accessory guide shows POA61-Ex through the named PTT units in the HP715Ex / HP795Ex accessory family. That diagram does not establish direct radio fit or allow an arbitrary adapter. For hazardous-area use, match the headset, PTT, radio and their exact certificates and entity parameters to the site requirements; a shared Ex suffix alone is insufficient.

Quote the headset and lower unit separately

The reference offer covers the upper section only. Include the intended radio, required PTT unit and existing accessory part numbers in the enquiry so the quote describes the complete assembly. Other radio families need their own documented lower-unit and approval combination.
