This 6-radio BD505LF group gives a team matching digital and analogue PMR446 handhelds. One shared six-way charging station keeps the charging positions together.
Choose the radio and charging layout
For another charging arrangement, compare the six-pack with individual UK chargers. The single no-charger radio is useful when extending a compatible fleet or reusing suitable charging equipment.
Use the correct PMR446 version
This PMR446 handheld is intended for licence-free use in the UK within the applicable PMR446 conditions. It uses the shared 446.0–446.2 MHz band, a fixed antenna and 0.5 W transmit power. It is a different version from the licensed UHF/VHF radios. PMR446 does not provide a private or protected frequency, and these radios are not a repeater or fixed-base system.
Match the actual channel frequency, analogue or digital mode and compatible settings across the fleet. A matching channel number or brand is not enough. CTCSS/DCS codes can filter which analogue calls are heard; they do not reserve a private radio channel. Buildings, terrain and other users affect coverage, so plan around the site rather than an advertised distance.
For the UK operating conditions, see Ofcom’s Business Radio Guidance, section 9. Compare the UK two-way radio licensing guide when choosing between PMR446 and a licensed radio system.
Batteries and charging
The group includes one MCL19SN six-way charger, one PS7501 adapter and one PWC03 UK mains lead. It does not add individual desktop chargers or extra spare batteries.
BL1506 is the matching 1500 mAh spare battery. The manufacturer’s standard-battery reference is about 16 hours digital or 12 hours analogue at a 5/5/90 duty cycle. Actual runtime changes with calls, standby time and battery condition.
Choose a complete audio path
The EH-02 receive-only earpiece needs the ACM-01 microphone/PTT controller: radio → controller → earpiece. EH-02 does not connect directly to the radio. For a complete wired audio accessory, match the two-pin radio connector and the exact listed model. PC76 is the listed programming cable; cable purchase does not include software or a programming service.
Common questions
Will these work with our existing PMR446 radios?
Match the actual frequency and analogue or compatible digital mode, plus the relevant settings. A shared brand or channel number does not establish compatibility.
Are the listed channel entries private frequencies?
No. Programmed channel entries are memories for settings on the shared PMR446 spectrum. They do not provide exclusive or private frequencies.
Does the quoted runtime guarantee a full shift?
No. Manufacturer runtime references use a defined duty cycle. Calls, standby time, battery condition and other usage differences change the result.
