The Hytera PD405 is a screen-free handheld for programmed analogue and DMR Tier II digital voice. Its separate volume and channel controls suit a team using a planned set of working channels. This is the single-radio NC offer; desktop charging is an optional addition.

Select the band and programmed system

Choose a UHF 400–470 MHz or VHF 136–174 MHz hardware version for the licensed channels. These are separate radio versions. Analogue or DMR Tier II operation, channel frequencies and signalling must match the system the radios will join. PD405 provides 48 programmed channel entries across three zones of up to 16.

Choose a charging position

The supplied battery is BL1504, 1,500 mAh lithium-ion. The Single Charger selection adds one CH10A07 cradle and one PS1044 UK/EU power adapter. For individual vehicle charging, CHV09 provides the power-adapter part of a compatible cradle arrangement; it is not a cradle itself.

One radio, four desks or one shared bank?

For one user, choose the single-radio offer. The four-radio pack provides four separate charging positions; the six-radio pack uses one shared MCA08 charging bank. Choose the quantity and charging layout for the team.

Choose the complete audio connection

The SM13M1 speaker microphone has a 3.5 mm external earpiece socket; SM26M1 uses 2.5 mm. Match the earpiece to the microphone socket. For a C-hook earset with its own in-line microphone and PTT, compare EHM18-A.

Plan the handover

Identify the existing radios, licensed channels, user numbers and any programming required in the quote request. The UK licensing guide explains the system choices. Keep the supplied PD405 operating manual with the fleet; a channel number alone does not establish compatibility.

Antennas

Match the RF band to the radio hardware and programmed channels. For this PD405 application, choose the RF band required by the channels. A GPS/GLONASS antenna does not add positioning functionality to the radio.

Batteries

  • BL1504 — the standard 1,500 mAh battery.
  • BL2010 — a separate 2,000 mAh option for the PD405 application.

Charging

For one desktop position, use CH10A07 with PS1044. For vehicle power, CHV09 supplies the compatible cradle. The MCA08 shared station includes PS7501 and a PWC03 UK lead; radios and batteries are separate.

  • MCL39 — Six-position charger. The current offer includes PS15002 and a compatible UK mains lead; radios and batteries are separate.

Audio and complete earpiece chains

Use EA-01 or EH-02 through the named ACM-01 controller or SM08M3 speaker microphone. These receive-only earpieces do not connect directly to the radio.

  • ACM-01 — Microphone/PTT controller for its named receive-only earpiece chain.
  • EA-01 — Receive-only acoustic-tube earpiece.
  • EH-02 — Receive-only swivel earpiece.

Another 3.5 mm speaker-microphone path uses SM13M1 with EH-01, EH-02, ES-01 or ES-02. The separate SM26M1 path uses its 2.5 mm socket with EAS03, EHS17 or EHS18. EHM18-A is a direct C-hook earset with in-line PTT and microphone.

Programming

The cable provides the physical connection. Software, access rights and programming service are separate requirements.

  • PC76 — USB-A to two-pin programming cable.
