The PDC680 combines a DMR radio transceiver with an Android-based cellular and Wi-Fi device. This equipment offer is the PDC680U UHF configuration, supplied with the BP2402 battery and its charging equipment. It differs from a PoC-only handset because it also has a narrowband DMR radio.

Two communication paths, with separate requirements

The UHF DMR side needs compatible frequencies, channel programming and any required business-radio licence. The cellular/Wi-Fi side uses a compatible PoC application and service. A data SIM does not by itself supply a PoC account, and cellular operation depends on the supported network and coverage. The equipment price includes no PoC subscription or mobile-data service.

Display, controls and field use

The main 3.6-inch touchscreen works alongside a 0.92-inch top display, dedicated PTT and emergency controls. Android 10 supports compatible applications; the 13 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras support the device's imaging functions. Emergency and lone-worker functions require the relevant programming and supporting workflow; they do not create a standalone emergency-response service.

Select accessories for this model

The native package list identifies the UHF antenna, BP2402 battery, CH20L13 charger and PS1044 power adapter. Accessories for a differently shaped Hytera handheld must not be chosen just because they share the brand. Vehicle docks and other accessories shown in a manufacturer video are separate from the stated package.

Compare dual-mode and PoC-only equipment

Compare PNC550 for a cellular/Wi-Fi PoC terminal without a DMR/UHF/VHF transceiver. P50 and P50Pro are other PoC comparisons with their own application and service requirements. The PDC680 does not automatically join unrelated PoC and DMR systems without a compatible configured solution.
