A Guide to Hytera BP365 Basic Operations

This guide covers the essential Hytera BP365 basic operations to help you get started with your digital portable radio. From powering on to selecting a channel, mastering these steps is key to effective use.

Turning the Radio On, Off, and Restarting

To turn the radio on or off, perform a long press on the Back/On-Off key. If the radio ever fails to work properly, you can perform a force restart by disconnecting the USB Type-C cable (if attached) and long-pressing the Back/On-Off key for over 13 seconds.

Adjusting the Volume

You can easily increase or decrease the volume by pressing the programmable Volume Up or Volume Down keys. Alternatively, you can set a specific tone volume through the settings menu by navigating to Settings > Tones.

Selecting a Zone and Channel

Your radio is capable of supporting up to 256 channels, which are organized into zones for easier management. The radio supports up to 8 zones, with a maximum of 16 channels per zone.

How to Select a Zone

You can select a zone in two ways:

  • Through the Zone List: On the home screen, press the OK/Menu key, use the Up/Down keys to select Zone, and press OK/Menu again. Select your desired zone and confirm.
  • Through a Programmable Key: Press the preprogrammed Zone Up or Zone Down key to cycle through the available zones.

How to Select a Channel

Once you are in the correct zone, simply rotate the Channel Selector knob to choose the channel you wish to use.

Checking Device Information

To view important details about your radio, such as the radio ID, model, firmware version, and serial number, you can access the Device Info screen. On the home screen, press the OK/Menu key, navigate to Device Info using the Up/Down keys, and press OK/Menu to view the information.
